Dr Chryssidis is currently Dr Jones & Partners’ Modality Director for interventional based procedures.
Dr Chryssidis graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1995 and later went on to complete specialist radiology training in South Australia and the Northern Territory. Upon completion of his training he was awarded a Fellowship to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2005.
In 2004, he undertook an MRI Fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital followed by an Interventional Neuroradiology Fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital, NSW in 2006.
Dr Chryssidis, who has worked at Dr Jones & Partners since 2005, specialises in Interventional Radiology and Neuroradiology, Head and Neck Radiology, Diagnostic Neuroradiology, Spine Interventions and minimally invasive therapies. Dr Chryssidis has interests in vascular imaging and vascular interventions. This also includes liver directed endovascular therapies (SIR-spheres treatment with Y90) and venous access to support oncological services (infusaport insertions).
He currently holds Senior Radiologist positions at Flinders Medical Centre, is involved in Head and Neck Multi Disciplinary Teams (MDT’s) in public and private sectors, Neuroradiology clinicoradiology meetings in private practice, and Neurosurgical radiology multidisciplinary meetings at Flinders Medical Centre. Dr Chryssidis is also involved in the South Australian Acute Stroke Interventional Service.
Dr Chryssidis is credentialed by the Ausrtalian Credentialing Committee for Interventional Neuroradiology and has been involved in establishing Interventional Neuroradiology services at Calvary Wakefield Hospital and Flinders Medical centre, where patients are treated for their acute and elective neurovascular conditions.
Dr Chryssidis holds current memberships with the Interventional Radiologists’ Society of Australia, the Australian and New Zealand Society of Neuroradiology, the Radiological Society of North America and the American Society of Neuroradiology.
